Howdy from New Mexico! I've finally got my tile studio going again (this IS the land of "Manyana" after all!) and I've got lots of new tile designs to share that I hope you will like. PLEASE check back here often for updates. I will be loading more pictures as I get tiles fired, and hopefully a store where the tiles will be available to buy directly from the site. If you email me, I will save your email address and let you know when new content is added to this site. Thanks for visiting my site, let me know if you are ever between Santa Fe and Taos, I would love to see you! |

| These tiles are "glazed", not just painted - heres the difference: |
| Glazes are amazing things, aren't they!! I'm no chemist, I just try to figure out things as I go along. Its hard when half the glazes are brick red or at least not the color they will fire too. And they do different things in every firing, why each tile will be unique even if I try to copy them. I make lots of notes as I go along, hardly ever do they apply to something neat that happens on the tiles. For instance, I wrote CY 117 Sand for the pretty tannish glaze right below the mesa, but I dont know why its darker at the bottom than where the trees are, but it sure works fine! After working with reds that turn green and lavendars that turn cobalt, I dont think I could ever actually paint anything in real colors. Plus I just love seeing what happens in the firing process, like Christmas every time you open the kiln. |

| I've been glazing tiles since 1994. My first love is obviously horses, but I love all animals and nature, and try to show that love in my work. My tiles are all standard sizes (except the hand made tiles) and most are for interior use only except as noted. Tiles are beautiful as well hygienic, and can be used in all sorts of places. Placed in a nice frame or by using a plate hanger, they can be hung on the wall as art. |
